Video watermarking firm Civolution buys rival

Philips-owned video watermarking firm Civolution has paid an undisclosed sum for Thomson's STS watermarking business, in an operation backed by Prime Technology Ventures. Thomson will combine its technology with Civolution's and become a shareholder in the company. Civolution was formed as a spinoff from Philips and merged with Philips-owned Teletrax last year.
