Ian, As a KFC Franchisee in Southern California I wish we had their volume and attribute rating and probably the profit in their franchisee operated stores. Thank you. Eddie Sheldrake

The sadistic, dangerous, polluting "way of life" of the meat industry MUST be threatened... the sooner the better! The irony of anyone associated with the meat industry talking of preserving choice in the foods we eat would be hilarious if it wasn't so damn scary. They have systematically eliminated choice for consumers, for their employees, and , of course, for the billions of animals they torture each year. Down with factory farms... up with Meatless Mondays and Tuesdays, and Wednesdays...

Lots of emotion, not a lot of facts.<br>It certainly seems that BPA injected into people or exposure to very high levels causes harm. The issue with industry is "completely" removing it. Products are being tested that have no BPA added to them but are coming back from the lab with measurable levels of BPA (Consumer reports; the Eden can is BPA free yet had 1 ppb, the Starkist can is BPA free and had 3 ppb). Technology to detect is generating far more publicity than the threat at those levels. Arsenic is limited by the EPA to 50 ppb in drinking water, what's the limit on BPA detection...if you follow the media...its zero.<br>

Who gives a crap!....ConAgra is one of the most neglegent, money hungry companies in this whole world...What happened at this plant was a huge tragedy and whether negligence has anything to do with it I myself cannot say....BUT no one is talking about the ConAgra explosion at the Boarman, OR plant...Why not? Because that, people, was in fact negligence!!!!!!! And I can say this because I hold the OSHA report that says there were high levels of gas and two employees had previously reported the very poor and dangerous conditions of the tank..still Conagra management decided to send a 23 year old welder into that tank. The minute he struck the welder the tank blew up and buried him in potato waste and debris...If that is not bad enough after it happened employees did absolutely nothing to try and save him. He went into the tank alone, died alone, and was left there for eight hours while conagra employees, fire fighters, and police all stood by and did NOTHING!!!! Lets talk about that "tragedy"

Here's an idea... stop raising animals, grow more food, save the world from hunger (which only exists because we're feeding our meat-product animals with all the food we could be feeding people with). And don't get me started on how much water a cow drinks in order for it to be raised for hamburger. There. Now I feel better.

Get real. The Center for Science in the Public Interest is a couple of namby-pamby, Nanny State psuedo scientists who are trying to make life 100% safe. It is not. 15 people die each year from tainted oysters? How many people die in car accidents each year? Ban cars? How many people die crossing a street each year? Thousands in the US alone. Create pedestrian crossing bridges on each block in America so that never happens again? You can not take all the risk out of life. Our government is too big and already spends too much of our money- we do not need any additonal regulations.

probably better just to eat a little less of everything in the context of a balanced diet. Easier said than done. The Catholics tried to make people eat fish on Friday, the jewish and muslims can't abide pork products, my mum wants me to eat my vegies, the telly is telling me to lose weight whilst advising me to have burger or fried chicken...why can't people leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!

We talked to a barista last night and their sales for Via have not been weel. They told us that some stores have rang up regular coffee and drinks under Via sales and then put the coffee taht was actually sold under their own comp account. The people at out store have not done this and their Via sales are low. Not only do you not know the real story with these tactics but teh company may have faulty info about the produuct's success or failure.

News flash! You don't need to eat meat to get enough protein or to be healthy in general. I stopped eating meat whn I was 14 and now I'm 44. I went vegan about 6 months ago because I became aware that by eating dairy and eggs, we promote the meat industry. I don't believe any animal should be raised, suffer, and die so that I may eat. Also by not eating an animal based diet, I am doing my share to reduce global warming!! <br><br>My blood pressure and cholesterol are good. I have zero health problems and lots of energy to work full time and be a mother of 2 active kids. I rarely get a headache. I have no wrinkles. I have never had the flu (or gotten a flu shot). I get a fever or cold maybe once every 5 years. Maybe, just maybe, the doctors ARE right. Animal foods promote desease and plant foods prevent it. Look it up. Perhaps it's time that the meat industry learns how to grow some veggies!

Starbucks baristas need to get over themselves. When Starbucks replaced their La Marzocco and other machines with brain-dead, push-button Verismos years ago, they did so because they couldn't hire enough trained people to operate more traditional equipment in their exploding armada of caf?s and keep the doors open.<br><br>Now that Starbucks baristas have been reduced to button-pushers, they should embrace the opportunity to do something requiring a higher brain function than the mind-numbing, simpleton operations they now perform.

I'll put greater credibility in Glen over the Obama administration?s elitist image, for the following reasons:<br>1.) Everyone in this country has a right to Free Speech under the Bill of Rights, Article 1. Glen is not excluded.<br>2.) Glen supports his arguments or statements with relevant historical and current facts or well-founded and supported suspicions, whether one might agree with them or not.<br>3.) Obama and his administration do not support the "changes" that they wish to impose on our country. They use un-American practices and promotions with irrational economic policies that can lead to total collapse of our economy to force their ideology.<br>4.) The Administration continually beach the campaign promises of transparency, bipartisan cooperation in developing legislation, not falling to special interest groups, realistic creations of Jobs, etc.<br>5.) Citizens and critique ARE NOT THE ENEMY! The campaign is over, it would be great if the Administration would do what?s best for the country, not political ambition! This is still ?The land of the free, and the home of the brave??. Lest we forget!!<br>
