Mall Leases
Having been the the leaseholder in two mall sites I can't say I really shed a tear for the mall developers. Although, the leasing officer, shakes your hand as a partner in your success, at the lease signing, you will more then likely never see him or her again. They inflate traffic counts, promise more then they deliver, forget to mention numerous items, and impose policy on your business that prevent you as the owner to make prudent business decision. The marketing efforts are lame, they rarely take suggestions from the little guys, and pander to the big box players. The only people I do feel sorry for are those poor souls that are left behind when the big names vacate. Who cares they have your contract and you have declining foot traffic
