RE: The Tipping Point Toward New Media
As a member of the film production industry, we've watched HD render 16mm and 35mm film almost useless at the advertising/commercial level. If film industry professionals don't get up to speed on HD technology, they need to look for another industry to work in. While Hollywood may continue to use film for a few more years, for those who don't understand "join 'em or die" the writing is on the newspaper...er, wall.

RE: The Tipping Point Toward New Media
Sheer arrogance and laziness is the reason for the plight of the moden day newspaper industry. The same can be said for most consumer magazines. New media had better be careful however. Disruptive potential abounds - as evidenced by the recent economic meltdown. The cream will clearly rise instigating a major shakeout.
