  I wish every voter and consumer of health care insurance and medical care could read, understand and absorb this information. It seemed very informative and unbiased to me but points out how really complex the problem is. It is not going to be fixed with a $5000.00 tax credit!

  Nor is it going to be fixed by government-run healthcare. Insurance companies ban together to negotiate a more reasonable cost of care, and yet Medicare pays what is asked of them. Drs. realize this, and many up their costs because they know they'll get it.
  
  I just signed up for an Individual Flex Plan through BCBS and it is costing me far less than my employer-paid plan (also BCBS), is better overall, and all preventative services (in contrast to that reported above) are covered before the deductible. I'm a big proponent. Saving over $500 a month!
