Think about it. Community banks will be bailing out their competitors through higher taxes.
Seriously though, this is a great opportunity for any bank that isn't tied up in this whole bailout mess.
The bigs will be shedding people, giving the community banks a tremendous talent pool. Plus, as you pointed out, the bigs aren't giving anyone a great feeling about their management. -

I think the government must concern about the longevity of the community bank. Community banks were prooven to be the savior for small medium business enterprise when the financial crisis got worst. So, community banks and credit union must be undertaken by the government in order to build and keep the small medium business run healthy.
