  Ultimately this is the result of human behavior. It does not matter how much information is available, humans will behave in a human way, and they will use the available information in a way that suits their particular objectives. Computer modeling is based upon preconceived notions and expectations. That is what sets the calculations and that is what drives the data inputs. A true understanding of economics requires more than an abstract understanding of supply and demand - it requires an understanding of the psychology and all the facets of the human mind, which is incredibly good at shaping information to fit desire.
