    No doubt audiences absorb information differently. Some respond better to text and audio, while others like the combo of video, audio an text. In my view, a great alternative to podcasting is webcasting. Much like a DVD, you can skip to chapters of interest to see, hear and read the related video and slide content. What's more, you can submit a question. For most on-demand webcasts, there is someone who can satisfy your curiosity. Nowadays webcasts get converted into audio or adio/video podcasts, which is like being on a website adapted from a print brochure.
