  I agree about setting expectations regarding working time

  In my field (IT consultancy), I frequently find clients will phone me in a panic out of hours and expect an immediate response (often chasing by means of SMS messaging and emails).
  
  Whilst it may feel you are letting clients and customers down, in reality, you are often providing a better service by taking the time out (even if you utilise it to research the particular problem).
