    Customer involvement in consulting businesses

This is a great article and I could relate crowdsourcing to my company very well if I had a cool product. I would like some ideas on how to do something similar for a consulting company, specifically one with offshore presence.

    crowdsourcing

Start with your clients. They are your clients for a reason. And naming the "shoe" crosses industries as well. Developed a new procedure or approach/concept? Name it after the client, their team, individuals who made it work .....and publish. If the ownership level leaps leap tall buildings you, at a minimum have a repeat client and many happy referrals.

    the FLIRT model of Crowdsourcing

I have been thinking about the same themes for my master's thesis and come up with a model explaining the most essential elements of crowdsourcing / collective customer collaboration. If you feel like exploring / commenting, you can find it at http://www.samiviitamaki.com/2007/02/16/the-flirt-model-of-crowdsourcing-collective-customer-collaboration/

    Involving Customers

A very practical and useful suggestion. Most business firms look at other expensive and less useful options when trying to solve their product, process or service problems. If only they were to follow the simple and yet powerful solution suggested by the author, the business organisations will manage their business far more better at far less cost, thereby improving their bottomline as well.

    ERP software

We are a South African-based Oracle reseller and implementation partner. The concept of crowd sourcing sounds great but how do we share our strategy with customers in the highly competitive ERP software space. In a lot of instances, their emplyees end up working for our competition.

How to lur to the customers?

How to lure to the customers?
Sir to the best of my knowledge it is not that we have to sell the product to the customer. The CRM simply does not work and to the amazement of many the new COKE that came failed because some are used to the old design, brands, word of mouth and hearsay. In the country where there is a taboo, example, Tanzania, where there is illiteracy, you have a big problem persuading to but even the fake pirated copy if there is rumor that VIST has virus, just a rumor. You see the voodoo is more in illiterate countries like India and most of the African countries where the witch doctors cut the goats dance and remove the witch craft.
    Now try any sale here.
    You fail.
You need to have customers who also know not just the brand or the product but the market itself as today, or call this current market.
You do not have this knowledge the advertisement etc go to the dumps.

Flrt with the model to get the cosutomer?

Flirt with the model to get the costumer?
Sir It is well tried method that the ladies play and ample role in the sells by modeling showing the parts of the body or dressing in the most ridiculous way sitting on the car.
This works if you are a man and single. Do you honestly think this sort of car will lure your wife, remember the Shakespearean phrase,? Women thy name is jealousy?, will you really dare go to the show room with the girl friend, fianc?e or wife.
I admit. I am a man, Single. Any glossy lassie will please me and cut my wallet for the product hat I can afford but there is a law of diminishing return that will not allow me to flirt with the model irrespective of the product or the model?s dress, flirt, half naked or fancifully dressed with the entire make up by the Avon products. No sit I refuse to buy.
    There is a limit.

    I thank you

RE: How to Get Your Customers to Solve Problems for You

Indeed there are other applications of crowdsourcing. For
example, if a task is too tedious, why not let the crowd take
care of it for you. An exhaustive list of other applications can
    be found here:
