  We have seens mergers & aquisitions, vertical & horizontal integration, and now out outsourcing as a trend, the thing crucially important is that such alliances work on long term strategic partnerships and not merely on economical factors, because economic factors has lot of external factors and dependencies beyond the controls of anyone. The biggest problem is most of these decisions are influenced by finance managers and not business managers, while its much easy to calculate a tangible benefit but extremely difficult to identify the intangible negatives, Companies who moved their Call centers and BOP's to third world countries greatly compromized the quality and information security, giving boost to identity theft and white collar crime.
