    Manaing in a Flat Organization

    To be successful in a flat Organization, a Manager needs to seek understanding and buy-in, not expect concensus. Concensus in a team is unrealistic and counter-productive as a whole, for both the Employee and the Manager.

    Gain buy-in from top respected team members and allow them to help integrate the changes required for the team and Company to be successful.

    It is important that the reward(formal and informal) structure be aligned to manage in a flat organization. Ultimately this is about behavior change.
