I've been using Copernic for over 4 years now. It's a deffinite must have in a time when HDs keep gettin larger and larger. The feature I love the most is that it searches the text in emails and attached files. Thanks to Copernic I never lost a file again and it boosted my efficiency 1000%

This sounds similar to Lookout that MS bought and then quit supporting.

I was always partial to Yahoo Desktop Search, but that died out, too.

I am slightly confused about these desktop searches:

    1. Why don't they allow me to search folder names? I mean what's the problem? I have movies whose folder is appropriately named but files are something nonsense.avi.

    2. What about indexing service in windows? I included all my drives for indexing and it still takes the same time to scan all drives. Isn't the tech. supposed to be the same?

We worked with Lookout for a long time till MS bought it and quit delevoping and supporting it! So I tried a few other tools...Copernic isn?t bad, but what I don?t like is that it is a second application and it is not integrated in Outlook!
We work with another tool now, which in my opinion is the real follower of Lookout: Lookeen (www.lookeen.net)
