Perhaps my next purchase will be a MacBook
You would think that PC Vendors around the world would be up in arms with MicroSoft about this. I think I would be if I were Dell, Sony, HP or Toshiba. Linux just doesn't do it for me. And Vista's been a real disappointment to the rest of us in ether-space. Perhaps I'll buy a MacBook the next time.

I'm horrified by this news. I don't want to have to learn a new system and my friends that tried VISTA hated it.
At least we have 5 years to adapt--by then XP will probably be antiquated anyway. -

The "Minds" at Microsoft must have been on hiatus when they released Vista! (we won't even talk about Millenium) XP is my lifeline...makes you wonder what's next.

It seems to me that Microsoft is showing total disregard to it's customers with their "cramming" Vista down the our throats. It has surpassed Windows ME as the worst operating system. If Windows 7 isn't any better. I will be moving over to Linux.

I am really pleased that my grandmother is not a Microsoft product. Her longevity would be in dire straits.
