    Stress relief

When feeling stressed, I immediately go punch my business partner in the face. Works every time.

When i am stressed at work, i call up my family or Old friends or girl friend. So that my mind is diverted towards other topic. Or simply go to Youtube and watch any comedy scenes to come out of the stress.

    To beat stress at work.

So that stress does not ruin my day, I make it a point, whenever I can, to go outside for a walk (weather permitting, of course) during my lunch break. This could be round the block, to the shop/caf?? to get a sandwich/coffee, etc; and helps you 'unwind', provides a change of scenery and gives your entire system a 'mini-workout' whose benefits will last you throughout the day.
Alternatively, regular sessions at the gym works out perfectly too!

ALso, I have a lovely view out of the window, so I enjoy the scenery every now and then (allows the eyes to rest as well, if you work long hours on a PC as I do), or you can have a nice picture on the wall to take your mind away (but not the desktop background on your PC!).

    See the other side

My little mantra: Stress is the difference between expectation and reality; if you can't change one, change the other.

When stressed by other people's behavior, I try to remember that, from their point of view, they are not being unreasonable. If I can imagine why they might be acting in a way I don't like, it brings some perspective to the situation and de-personalizes it. I still may not agree with their behavior choices, but at least the stress turns to pity.

I like to imagine telling the person who is stressing me exactly what I really think of them in the non-PC language that I would prefer to use!! That usually cheers me up.

Or I like to listen to some rowdy music like Slipknot, Marilyn Manson or Dimmu Borgir....that usually helps me to focus and realize that nothing is ever fair and there's always gonna be a-holes out there to stress you. So you just gotta be true to yourself and do the best you can, do the best job you can and don't let them wear you down.

Any tips for helping others with stress?

I notice that some in my office are occasionally more emotional about friction in the office - any way to help quell that?

music always is a relaxer. Now-a-days a lot of TV channels are telecasting music based programs which really are very relaxing. Yoga is also a very good stress reliever. I think it is also a stress preventer. try.

Recently I have been looking for a way toStop Anxiety stop anxiety. I know anxiety is very similar to stress and I used deep breathing to help me control my stress/anxiety. Hopefully that will help you also.
