RE: How to Get Better at Managing Your Time

I read a piece awhile back about how to do lists are good and NOT-to do lists are equally important. How often do I pick up tasks that are someone else's responsibility or that I should delegate to others. Every job can benefit from this but executives seem to most. I've done this for about 4 months, it's enlightening. BTW, Tim, good article.

    Good point

You make a very good point about the NOT- to do list. Perhaps if more people were aware of the benefits of delegation and assignment of tasks to the correct people, many workplaces would be more productive.

If you have good command over the task, multitasking is the best way and if you are learning a task and not a expert, focused afford is better.

RE: How to Get Better at Managing Your Time

To get better in managing our time, We should classify the tasks between importance and urgency and if we are proactive there will be no urgent matters as leaving un urgent matters without putting a time for them will convert them to urbent matters.
Following are the four criteria we need all time to juggle between them but it has to be ranked to get the max output out of yr time
in my opinion number 4 should be deleted:
    1- Important and urgent matters
2- important but not urgent matters
3- Non important but urgent matters
    4- Neither important nor urgent
