Why when vonage is cheaper and doesn't need my computer
Its a cute item, and if you travel all the time I can see value if you don't want to use a USB headset and want a real phone.
For the same price you can get Unlimited Business Service from Vonage and that includes an adapter (that also acts as a firewall/router if you don't already have one) and you don't have to leave your PC on 24/7.
Technoligy is good, when it's used correctly. I think this is the wrong application of good tech. -

It's all in the fine print, egg on my face
I couldn't imagine it was so obvious, Re-reading the article I realized that the product is $40 for the first YEAR and $20 for each additional year.
OK, at that price-point its far more interesting but somehow I don't think its a sustainable business model for them.
My only fear would be that they go bankrupt and your phone number goes away at the same time. If you business can sustain a change in phone numbers then maybe it's worth it.
Defiantly a good purchase for the power-talker who makes alot of outgoing phone calls if the quality is there. -

RE: How to Set Up a Dirt-Cheap Business Line
A friend sent me a MagicJack. You plug it into your computer and attach a phone to it. In less than two minutes I was making all my phone calls for $40 for the first year and then $20 for the next! That???s right ??? not $20 a month but $20 a year! I???m saving big $$$$ ??? eat your heart out Vonage!
It is with great delight that I???m kicking AT&T and Vonage to the curb and wearing paid-for-with-the-savings pricey Monolo Blahnik shoes to do it.
Take a look. www.MagicJack.com
