Should MAC OSX users switch to Thunderbird?
What do users think about it? Anybody have any experience in that transition?

RE: Should You Switch to Thunderbird?
Yes, it's more secure than anything Microsoft could ever produce. No, it's impossible to set up for pop & smtp (way too many settings).

RE: Should You Switch to Thunderbird?
Thunderbird is a very well done email client.
However, the reason businesses rely on Outlook is not ignorance of the alternatives, it's that Outlook, for all its flaws, does many things that Thunderbird doesn't even attempt, such as calendaring and task management. -

RE: Should You Switch to Thunderbird?
I use !ntellect from Chaos software which is an integrated email contacts , appointments, tasks , memos and lists package that is very flexible you are allowed to have it loaded on more than one machine as long as you only use it on one at a time and it will synch between base Pc and Laptop or handheld. All email message from a contact are linked and files, notes etc can be linked to tasks and the legal Billing accessory is very useful for the professional as tasks can be timed and charged or items costed and then invoiced
Have a look at it . It is also a lot cheaper and you don't need to buy and run Microsoft exchange server
