Is an executive a public figure?
You cannot send anonymous letters to the editor in a newspaper. You should not be able to anonymously scourge a person's reputation on the Internet either. There is no accountability; whatever charge one might levy could be totally false, but on the Internet, it lives forever. I view that kind of an attack as a form of cowardice. At least by identifying yourself and expressing your view, it opens things up for a back-and-forth diaglog.

RE: Is an Executive a Public Figure?
One of the unfortunate consequences of the anonymity of the Internet is that cowards become kings--anyone can post anything, no matter how vicious. In the past, some measure of civility or fear of reprisal kept behavior within reasonable norms, but now we've devolved to allowing the publication of scurrilous, mean-spirited garbage, whether in an anonymous blog, on Wikipedia, as comments posted (like this one) to an article.

Leadership is by nature visible or there would be nothing to lead except oneself!
Am I my brothers keeper? A. To some degree,YES!
And that degree is in the eyes of our children and grandchildren
