  Outstanding post. I'd like to go one step further. Facing your fears and hard work are solutions but it takes some ability and skills. I just wrote an article for two business publications about the drivers of innovative capacity. These same skills are critical for leadership in times of tumultuous change. The four critical drivers are cognitive abilities (the ability to "think on your feet," dealing with ambiguity, resilience, and authenticity.
