That has loopholes the size of the Atlantic Ocean written all over it. Good thoughts in theory, but CEO's who do little work per dollar compensated will have no moral fortetiud to abide by the "intent" of this poorly fashioned legislation.

Also...even if it was not avoidable...it really is a SMALL fine for a CEO who ran his company into the ground. If I did that, I would get fired with no compensation! Inexcusable executive elitism sub-culture protects there own by not speaking out against each other in times like these.

CEO's across the nation dare not say a word, because they want their cake and eat it too...so no way are they going to speak out against others doing the same thing lest they have to face the same situation one day and want "compensation."

RE: Bailout Bill Has Major Compensation Limits

ehh, it's kind of like giving my 7-year-old a minute of time-out: he remains well-behaved and seated for the entire minute, but there were no lasting consequences to his actions. once that minute is up, the behavior repeats.

these nicely compensated people are still able to place their heads down on their pillows at night and sleep...while the rest of us live in the aftermath...

in a nutshell, they were allowed to do it - it was unregulated... so, who's the bad guy? the person who committed the crime or the person who stood back, knew the crime was taking place, watched it happen, had the power to stop it, but did nothing about it except condone it... i am still trying to figure it out...

anyway, thanks for the info. happy
