Rhett and Link's Internet Overdose song is sublime (like nearly all of their sonfgs).

The video clearly shows the excess of networking sites. Which one should we pick?

Beats me. The most "serious" users are on LinkedIn. The younger crowd tends to be on Facebook. (Fair amount of BNET readers are there, for example.) I suppose the best way to decide is to find out which ones your customers are using. If any.

RE: Is Facebook Good for Sales Reps?

I use both Facebook and LinkedIn, but for different purposes. I use Facebook to support and maintain personal relationships. While I have my business contact information there, I don't seek out business connections on Facebook. My LinkedIn account is specifically for business connections, both to further my business and to help the people I know connect to each other. I think both are good tools, when used purposefully.

Facebook is not really an info system for business. There is very little you can do to stand out from the giant pack.

Do you market to kods, the younger generation, have a consumer product? If not why bother since ththe folks who stay on facebook and update regularly are not business types or prospects for you.

Its a social club and should be seen as such. Lets get just a little discriminating about social networking and spend time on a more directed network.
