  C'mon -- he's OK. It's CAR SALES for God's sake! He's looking to lead his customers to a good experience, and working to keep his reps focused on the prize. Sure, the shades are a turnoff, but at least they're not to shield his eyes from a blaring sports coat!

  If that's the worst you could find, the world of sales is doing pretty well. This sales manager doesn't sound very effective as a motivator and is redundant ad infinitum, but the only two techniques he has are positive: he wants his customers treated very well and he offers incentives.
  
  Most of his competition, I can tell you from personal experience, know little besides negative motivation, bullying, and "screw the customer."
  They respect neither their staff nor the public.
  
  Sales meetings are about who hasn't performed, who's going to get fired, unachievable objectives, how to sucker in a buyer, etc. and sales staff get beaten up for treating customers with respect and courtesy and trying to sell with dignity.
  
  The sales managers usually want to play stupid games with customers and treat them like idiots, and any sales rep who doesn't conform to their condescending, customer-insulting techniques is threatened and disciplined - even though it's obvious that those techniques don't work with even moderately educated and self-confident buyers.
  
  If my manager's worst fault was that he's a redundant bore, that would be a huge step up.
  
  You should apologize to this poor guy for being ridiculed as the worst manager you could find. You just have no clue what his competition is like.

  Not the worst, just the most annoying. Or, more accurately, the most annoying that I could find on YouTube before I got bored with searching.
