Noted Sales Guru Caught Plagiarizing?

Another one?

While not perfectly identical - there are enough common words to make it "odd". Just my honest opinion! -

What a shame! Why are some people gluttons for punishment? Complacency and greed are always killers in the end.

Yeah, like, did he think he wouldn't get busted eventually?

And yet another--and he's re-selling it!
Geoffrey,
Check out my post today at
http://trustedadvisor.com/trustmatters/428/Plagiarism--Concealment-or-Coincidence--The-Case-of-Bob-Beck
where I list entire side-by-side comparisons of an article I wrote in 2001 with a white paper that Beck is currently selling online for $9.95. Not just whole paragraphs, but whole pages.
His version even tellingly includes a typo from my original.
Moreover, in the web archives I can point to when my article was online--December 2001. His piece is copyrighted 2001.
He bills himself as "the trusted advisor to CEOs."
Make up your own mind; go have a look at

So Geoff - any response?
Just curious if Bob Beck ever responded? If that is even his real name....

RE: Noted Sales Guru Caught Plagiarizing?
Geoff,
I made a typo in my above post about Bob Beck. I typed that his piece was copyrighted 2001. It was copyrighted 2008--mine was copyrighted 2001.
That's obviously a material difference, in fact a large part of the problem, so I apologize for the typo. If you want to correct it in the original comment itself, feel free.
Thanks,
Charlie Green -

RE: Noted Sales Guru Caught Plagiarizing?
Geoffrey,
For consideration by those that follow you and your blog. Another example of Beck's plagiarism:
Hey! Stop Plagiarizing My Content! (http://davesteinsblog.wordpress.com/2008/09/05/hey-stop-plagiarizing-my-content/)
I had been reluctant to attribute the plagiarism cited in that blog post to Beck, but now that more and more examples his "work" are being brought out in the open, I've decided to expose this unprofessional and damaging behavior.
I'll be writing another post about this shortly. -

It doesn't stop there. Compare:

with

I suspect Mr. Beck will yank these articles/blog posts down very quickly...
Nearly the same article, but look at the dates. -

RE: Noted Sales Guru Caught Plagiarizing?
Ah yes, the articles were pulled down already. That was fast.

Even if he was using other peoples material in his consulting and advising, that is in-material to the fact he is selling this information as body of his works for profit.

Outing a Plagiarizing Sales Expert
It didn't take me very long (15 minutes) to find a
plagiarized article of mine, as well as one of Kelley
Robertsons. I just posted about it on my blog:
http://sellingtobigcompanies.blogs.com/selling/2008/
10/outing-a-plagia.html
Very sad that he thought he had to do this to be
successful - and oh, so very wrong.
The end never justifies the means. -

My above link wrapped and doesn't take you to my
