  It's these sort of videos that give selling a bad name and good people the wrong impression. They make selling seem like something that has to be overcome, requiring inordinate motivation. Anybody can "sell", but most "sales"people don't know what to do or how to do it and the answer does nor lie in motivation, perseverance or emotional stuff. It lies in being taught how to organise to deliver a target, using numbers, process, planning and tools. Your video is beside the point. Anybody, theoretically can "sell", but most people lack the discipline (not the motivation) and only a small number of people will bother to learn what to do to be an effective salesperson, such as how to get an appointment. Post some videos showing people the technical skills they need to learn and most people will shy away and become civil servants or such like.

  Well, I disagree. Without motivation, you've got nothing. And it's hard to keep motivated -- even to learn good sales skills -- in a career where the only way to learn is to fail repeatedly. Even though I'm a natural cynic, I like inspirational videos and think that they can play an important role in reframing your situation and creating a more positive attitude. You may not need this kind of encouragement, but based upon what I've seen and experienced, you're very much the exception.
