  For some reason coffee tastes much better in Europe. I lived in Holland for a while. They have absolutely the best coffee. Coffee isn't grown in Holland, so I wonder why it tastes so good. We had a Segafredo/Zanetti coffee system in our office in Paris. Again, superior coffee. I think it's the water. It could also be the cream.
  
  And a favorite story... It's said that Abraham Lincoln was riding on a train. He was served a piping hot beverage. It seemed he struggled with deciding whether to swallow it or spit it out. He swallowed, then said, "If this is coffee, bring me tea. If this is tea, bring me coffee."

  Ha-ha. So funny that this topic came up because I was just mentioning to my colleague last Friday that I really don't like the taste of office coffee...and I don't know why it tastes so bad in comparison to the coffee I normally get from my local convenient store or even DD / Starbucks.
  
  I even went out and bought an expensive coffee maker at the office in which I used to work... assuming that the low-quality one we were using was the reason the coffee was bitter and well...DISGUSTING...but even the more expensive one didn't do the trick. Now I see why!
  
  Thanks for the tips...but it's a lot to remember when you only have 5 short minutes to brew a pot in the morning before getting started on your work day.

  American coffee is one of the worst crimes that the US inflicts on the global business community. It is generally vile and I don't think that you realise how bad it is. Take some advice from a Brit, don't try to be a perfectionist because you won't make it. Get the Netspresso system - perfect coffee every time in no time at all.
