RE: Sim C.E.O. on BNET
I used capsim as part of my MBA... wonderful if only for the fact that it was introduced at the end... I suppose that is why it is called a capsim...capstone courses should be taught at the end, what they need to be also, (which was not the case in my program) is a course that is integrated throughout the year. Experiential learning is time consuming and one cannot be expected to put all the details of MBA learning into one 6 week course in which a whole slew of new materials are introduced as well. I did not do well, but know that I excel in other areas and am relatively confident in those areas that I am weaker....those that capsim purport to be it's strengths. Capsim would do well to integrate it's program into the core curriculum of an MBA program...stretching out the components into specific classes and allowing the learner to adapt and assimilate the new material and then apply it into the program. The result, in my opinion? A better prepared student.
