The position I am in rhymes with the Caribou scenario.

Though my approval is not stalled yet, I have done several rounds of presentations to get approval and I still have several more rounds to go before I get a nod. But meanwhile, I will draw upon this case and keep improving my product vision until I do get the approval.

Inspiring article. and I would like to come back and share my experience later.

RE: How They Did It: Seven Intrapreneur Success Stories

We need more Intrapreneurs in the marketplace! Not enough people take an ownership mentality, which is too bad, since it can mean the difference between their company's---and, hence, their own job's---survival or extinction. When I encounter poor service, I speak up. But I also reinforce stellar work by writing letters of praise.

I started a company based on what I did at Sentara's Coporate Office. I was only supposed to pull a report, sort it, and call patients with overdue balances. It turned out that I did much more than that. I acted as a liaison between the doctors and patients. I helped people pick out affordable medical insurance plans. I searched for more information on patients medical conditions and much more. I saw a need for these services working there and decided to turn it into my own business. For me business is slow but growing. I get one client or so a month however I am able to help my clients tremendously. I make them feel like they actually have someone on their side. I help mentor parents of disabled children and help them to find the appropriate resources to help them cope. I help them find the financial resources to help them along with their children's medical costs.

This is only part of my story. However I turned tragedy into triumph and so can the rest of you out there.

Well...at the outset it looks smart! However within the constraints of the organization one needs to be quite careful to ensure that the idea is not stolen and then promoted from different quarters. I have seen same initiatives being rejected and later accepted when presented by some one else. Also support required from the senior management would be crucial.

RE: How They Did It: Seven Intrapreneur Success Stories

its a great story. but of course it takes a lot of guts. you do such where ia is appreciated. But its a nice thing. Some are very innovative but that is not enough to run a company on their own. So this is a gd way to start and then build oneself for one's business

Over 95% of companies in the $100bn Direct Sales industry now offer a leadership business opportunity. The opportunity is to earn commissions on the sales network you built. This is why it is known as a Network Marketing or MLM opportunity. The business opportunity is claimed to be a systemised business like a franchise system. Direct Sales industry also seeks to attract Intrapreneurs yet has pioneered its industry like the Franchise industry with entrepreneurs and thus has produced low success rates. Meanwhile, due to a economic crisis, recession had been a big issue. A recession is awful, but a disaster is worse. Disaster, be it natural or man made, is a fascinating topic. Many out there are devotees to one specific disaster, and all associated memorabilia, the Titanic. The RMS Titanic is among the worst of maritime disasters. Lousy materials and construction paired with a flawed design made for a very bad disaster. But it's not just the Titanic. Lots of people are fascinated with the tales of survivors, and some look into an online payday loan to get their hands on new stuff. Others would look into no end of personal loans to ward off the next natural or man made disaster.
