    Team Collaboration with Collanos Workplace

Great article. It would be nice to see a list of the best collaborative tools available. I know some of them are free, such as Collanos Workplace (www.collanos.com).

Didn't realise this article was all about technology. That part isn't too difficult to sort out. Its the people management side of things that is challenging when working with remote teams and that is what I was looking for.

    RE: null

This is all about technology for working remotly but this not suffiecient for remote working but will this tech's can be a helpful hand in communication which is a minor part in working.
But the hurdles while using this are very much.
I expect Kelly Pate Dwyercan also write over it.

    RE: null

Very useful information that every business professional should know. In fact, I was looking for a way to share my calendar with my business partner since we're remote.

    Thanks,

Unleashing the power of remote collaboration from www.saastream.com

When thinking about factors that distinguish top performing companies, the root of their success often can be traced to the human equation. But how many companies are able to tap more than a fraction of their workforce potential? How many are able to unleash the power of remote collaboration & virtual team management? The companies that find the means to use a larger fraction of their human resources will undoubtedly supersede their competitors. That is their edge in the global economy.

I would have like to seen a wider focus of products mentioned. Im not anti-Microsoft but there are lots of products that do what you mentioned, that are not a Microsoft solution. I can give specifics if there is interest.

    Collaboration tools

I've found a good tool for managing tasks, actions & to do's for myself and people in my team, no matter where they are. Its called TASKey TEAM (www.taskey.com). You can make templates out of the different tasks if you need to use them multiple times on different projects. Worth a look & there is a free trial of hosted version. There is also an enterprise version.

A list of everyone's favourite collaboration software tools would be great to have!
    Cheers

RE: No download Web conferencing for quick access

When you are having an ad hoc meeting and want to share screen information,
the Universal Attendance mode from RHUB (www.rhubcom.com) is quick and
easy. Folks can get into the meeting in just a couple of seconds with virtually
any browser. If they need to interact (control, present etc.) it is easy to switch to
the interactive mode from a link on the browser. Especially useful when sharing
information with those who have locked down computers.

Get your people Apple Macs and videoconferencing is cheap and easy.

Basecamp from 37 signals is very good and cheap project management.
