Question-and-Answer Session
Operator
Thank you. We will now begin the question-and-answer session. (Operator instructions) Our first question comes from the line of Mark DeRussy from Raymond James. Please go ahead.
Mark DeRussy – Raymond James
Hey, good morning everyone. Nice quarter. Kurt, I wanted to follow-up on the comment that you made about, and I may get the wording wrong here, but transition to a more of a high capacity solution. Could you talk a little about sort of what types of bandwidth you are anticipating or planning for under that scenario? Could you talk a little bit about how the network is going to change? Maybe draw us a picture of what the service would look like? And then maybe could you talk about how your business model may or may not change under this thing that your talking about.
Kurt Van Wagenen
Sure. Hi, Mark. So, in terms of the high capacity services offering that we're pursuing, the discussions we're having indicate a need for both TDM– high capacity TDM services and the DS3 range and above as well as the Ethernet IP services in the 50 megabit range and above. The services that we're pursuing start at 50 megs. We define it as 50 megs and above. DS3 and above. and we are planning to be offering services initially in a 50 to a 100 megs and then a 100 to 200 over time, and ultimately to 300 megs as well as those DS3 services if there is a demand for that but the initial discussion with customers were 50 megs plus and DS3 services.
In terms of what that means in changes with our network, it's going to be adding higher capacity radios. Alright. The OC3 radios on our network. We'll be pursuing additional fiber that will penetrate deeper into our networks, what we call our fiber exchange points. We'll try to push through that farther into our network so we can aggregate higher capacity traffic back from the cell sites we reach.
Mark DeRussy – Raymond James
Right.
Kurt Van Wagenen
Okay. And we do have an opportunity to leverage our own spectrum– our 24 gig spectrum specifically to provide the service to reach these cell sites. What we're also finding in discussions with customer's, Mark, is that the fiber network that we've developed over– in our 13 markets over the last several years, is also valuable assets, and we've had customer interest in buying services on that fiber network either from a fiber exchange point perhaps back to an MSE, between MSEs or even between fiber exchange points. So we have offered and provided DS3 capacity as well 2.5 gig wavelength services on that fiber network.
