Hello, good morning.
Paul Fischer
Good morning.
Sean Wu - Rodman & Renshaw
Thank you for taking my question. I had a question, I know like Paul may sound he was saying as of like last month you have how many patients enrolled in the PACT trials, just with an aggregated number?
Paul Fischer
143 patients as of the end of February.
Sean Wu - Rodman & Renshaw
Thanks a lot. You had mentioned about this NIH trial, so are we going to hear a more definitive answer when and whether it will start anytime soon?
Paul Fischer
There has been some suggestion from the NIH, they definitely would like to move forward that’s been said by the head of the organization but we really don’t have any specific dates to provide you, we know they are looking at different alternative ways to conduct the trial, and very importantly, I think there is a lot of data analysis that’s still going on from the initial studies at Merck. And so I think that will be evolving in the next few months and hopefully perhaps at the next call, we’ll be able to give you specifics on their plans. Remember this is an NIH decision.
Sean Wu - Rodman & Renshaw
But that decision haven’t – has no like kind of implication on your revenue or anything because your...?
Paul Fischer
No, no it doesn’t – we actually have provided the materials already to them, that actually was completed in last year. And so that really has no effect on this year’s revenues, and in fact program is moving ahead very well on a variety of research topics around HIV and other vaccines.
Sean Wu - Rodman & Renshaw
May I ask another question?
Paul Fischer
Sure.
Sean Wu - Rodman & Renshaw
Okay. I’ll just – TNFerade has shown promise in many other indications like head and neck and esophageal, so have you have – are you planning to start another like a pivotal trial in one other indications? Or you just would like to kind of focus that later on the PACT trial as of now?
Paul Fischer
Well, I think from GenVec’s point of view it’s very important to maintain our focus on the pancreatic study, we are getting very close to the goal line. As I said, we expect to have 200 patients enrolled by the end of the year, and I think it’s very wise for us to spend what extra resources we have, and being sure we have the right doses for the other indications prior to initiating a larger study. So, this year we’ll focus on PACT, we will get data on initial preliminary safety and dosing regimens for head and neck, and I think that will be much more important than trying to divert resources away from PACT.
