Earnings Call Excerpt
Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Wednesday October 28.
Well Point (WLP), Jones Apparel (JNY)
Cramer would take the opportunity to sell any dramatic gains in stocks that fund managers are trying to push up; “I think we’ve seen the highs for the year,”he said. Jones Apparel soared from $2.86 in March to $16.50, but in spite of lean inventories, Cramer thinks the stock is out of gas.
A weaker version of Obama's healthcare plan may pass the Senate, which is more crucial than the House, according to Cramer. This is good news for WellPoint which just reported a "blowout" quarter. Comments from Nancy Pelosi might temporarily bring a decline in the stock, but in that case, Cramer would buy WellPoint; "This is the one to watch. We have their quarter."
