Question-and-Answer Session

Operator

(Operator Instructions) And our first question comes from the line of Bob Craig – Stifel Nicolaus.

Robert Craig – Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc.

A couple of macro questions to lead off here, Nick. Are you noticing any significant differences in demand trends or demand patterns by geography?

Nicholas R. Schacht

We’re seeing some differences, but I think it’s fair to say, Bob, that the differences that we’re seeing are the same ones that you would pick up just on mass media accounts of what’s going on in the economy. Clearly this is something that’s affecting every economy in the world to some extent.

Robert Craig – Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc.

All right and I’m not sure how often you would have the ability to canvass your customers on this kind of basis, but any evidence of any loss of share to eLearning methodologies?

Nicholas R. Schacht

I don’t know that we have any evidence of any loss. I think it’s a fair statement to say that our customers continue to look for the most effective ways to train their employees and that effectiveness is perhaps even more critical now when the dollars available for training are likely to be more limited in their organizations.

We certainly haven’t seen any evidence that we have lost specific pieces of business to customers that have elected to go with an eLearning solution as opposed to ours.

Robert Craig – Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc.

Nick, I was wondering if you could embellish on the comment you make at the start of the presentation here about evaluating all aspects of the business to identify additional opportunities, to cut costs, or operate more efficiently. What specifically are you looking at there?

Nicholas R. Schacht

Well that’s a good question Bob, and clearly without giving away any information that would be particularly useful to our competitors, you understand from your familiarity with Learning Tree that over our 34 years, we have established a very solid base of process and information and procedure by which we run our business.

We believe that this is a time where we should be looking at every single process, every single procedure, every single practice, and evaluating whether in today’s environment that either adds value to the experience of the customer in the classroom or is likely to contribute positively to sales. And when we come to the conclusion that no, neither of those criteria really applies, then we should change that practice.
