I will now turn the conference over to Mr. Ernie Sapieha, President and Chief Executive Officer. Please go ahead, sir.
Ernest G. Sapieha
Good morning and welcome to Compton's third quarter 2008 conference call. I'd like to thank all callers for participating today. I'm joined today by Mel Belich, the Chairman of Board of Directors of Compton, and members of our management team including Marc Junghans, our Vice President of Exploration, Murray Stodalka, VP of Operations, Norm Knecht, our Vice President of Finance, Rob Symonds, our VP of Foothills and Reserves, Gary Follensbee our VP of Engineering Exploitation, and Lorna Klose, our Manager of Investor Relations.
Before we begin, I'd like to point out that some statements made throughout this call, are forward-looking in nature, and accordingly, the forward-looking caveat contained on our November 10th news releases is applicable to discussions and comments made during this call. I'd also like to note that all currency amounts, unless otherwise noted, are in Canadian dollars and we're using a six to one gas to oil conversion ratio.
Now, before discussing our third quarter, I'd like to turn the call over to Mel Belich, our Chairman, to discuss Compton's decisions to terminate all marketing efforts towards the sales process. Mel.
Mel F. Belich
Thanks Ernie. Good morning ladies and gentlemen, as Ernie has indicated this is Mel Belich. I am the Chairman of Compton Petroleum Corporation. At the outset of this conference call, and on behalf of Compton's Board of Directors, I'd like to speak to certain questions that we've been asked concerning the recently terminated sale process, as well as the board's decision to continue the corporation as a growing concern. Ernie Sapieha and senior management will comment on specific operational and financial matters related to our third quarter press release which was issued on Monday, and then we of course, would be pleased to answer any questions that you may have.
