US telecoms firm Sprint is buying wireless provider iPCS in a USD426m deal with an additional USD405m debt assumption. The firm is thought to be Sprint's last major independent affiliate and will mark the end of a long-running legal dispute between the firms. A series of acquisitions by Sprint, including its 2005 merger with Nextel, enraged iPCS, which accused the company of violating an exclusivity agreement.
