California-based iControl Networks has raised USD23m in a Series C funding round from Tyco International's ADT Security Services, Cisco, Comcast Interactive Capital and GE Security. Existing investors Charles River Ventures, Intel Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers also participated in the round. The firm has developed a web-based connection which enables users to monitor and control devices such as lighting and thermostats via the internet or mobile devices.

?iControl is extending home security and energy management to the broadband internet and iPhones so consumers can see, protect and manage their homes anytime, anywhere,? says KPCB partner, John Doerr.
