Speech recognition company Nuance is acquiring Jott, a startup that lets users create notes and reminders, and send email and messages with their voice. Nuance and Jott plan to focus on voice-to-text projects.

Jott has raised USD6.4m in two rounds, from investors such as Bain Capital, Draper Richards, Ackerley Partners and Atomico.
