A US bankruptcy court has approved Warner Brother's USD33m takeover of Midway Games' assets. The games publisher, which owns the Mortal Kombat franchise, filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year, and Warner emerged as the sole bidder for the company last month. Through the deal, Warner will receive the rights to Midway's games catalogue, as well as two development studios in Seattle and Chicago.
