Former Yahoo! SVP of entertainment Vince Broady is launching a photo album startup called ThisMoment with USD3.5m in seed funding. Investors include Shelby Bonnie, Mika Salmi and Jason Hirschhorn.
ThisMoment provides users with a photo and video album service that integrates social media tools. Users can either upload content directly on the site or pull in existing content from websites such as YouTube, Flickr and others. They can then share and annotate photos and videos across various services such as Facebook and Twitter.
The startup licenses its platform to internet and media companies, including Time Inc and the Symbian Foundation.
