Verizon may start selling subsidised netbooks with two-year data plans, according to media reports. The mobile operator is reportedly in talks with several netbook manufacturers.
AT&T already offers an Acer Aspire One mini-laptop with a two-year data plan for USD99, in partnership with RadioShack.
While voice services still account for the bigger part of mobile operator revenues, mobile data is expected to grow significantly. However, it is not clear whether demand for netbooks with 3G connections will live up to expectations, especially because of costs and data limitations.
