Social network-focused web browser Flock is reportedly halting development based onMozilla’s open-source browser Firefox and moving to Google’s Chrome browser.
Analysts say Flock is not getting enough attention from the Mozilla team and a number of Flock’s developers reportedly think Chrome is easier to build on.
A statement from Flock CEO Shawn Hardin denies the company is abandoning Firefox, saying the next version of Flock will be based on Mozilla’s browser.
However, Hardin says: ?The browser space is heating up, and we’ve seen a variety of exciting technologies emerge over the last several months that are appealing.? ?It is still far too early to comment on anything specific, but we are very excited about this design phase?
