AdMob is launching a new ad network for the Android platform that enables developers to insert ads into Android applications. AccuWeather, Jirbo and TapJoy have already joined the network as developers.
AdMob serves ads for Android mobile websites and received 27m requests in December 2008. The company’s network includes 6,000 mobile sites and 450 iPhone applications.
