Internet security firm VeriSign is paying roughly CAD92m (USD75m) to acquire software company Certicom, just days after Research In Motion (RIM) abandoned its CAD66m (USD54m) hostile takeover bid. RIM withdrew its offer after an Ontario Superior Court granted Certicom's request for an injunction.
