Amazon buys out Audible.de

Amazon is taking control of German audiobook retailer Audible.de, a joint venture between Audible.com and publishers Random House and Lubbe. Amazon has reportedly submitted a request to buy out the firm to Germany’s Federal Cartel Office.

Audible.de offers 30,000 titles in German, English, Spanish and French from over 800 publishers. Amazon acquired Audible.com and its UK subsidiary last year for USD300m.
