US-based DVD rental company Blockbuster is partnering with Sonic Solutions to offer films on variety of mediums, including computers, portable media players and set-top boxes. This will be done using Sonic Solutions’ technology which enables media to be streamed or downloaded on a range of consumer electronic devices. Blockbuster plans to offer a total of 50,000 titles for the service.
