Social network Hi5 and Spanish-language media company Televisa Interactive Media are teaming up to create a co-branded premium video channel for Hi5. The channel is scheduled for release this summer and will only be available to Latin American users. It will feature a library of full-length and short videos from Televisa.
Televisa is also becoming the exclusive ad inventory representative on Hi5 for the Latin American territory. Internet use in Latin America grew by 16.6% last year according to comScore. In North America, growth was 5.7%.
