News agency AFP and Getty Images are extending their image distribution deal to include videos. The deal will see Getty’s online entertainment videos displayed on AFPTV, the online video news feed available to AFP’s subscribers. In turn, Getty will sell AFP’s news videos on its website.
France-based AFP is hoping the three-year deal will increase its presence in the US beyond 12 major clients. The cross-promotion is also an opportunity to increase its online revenues and diversify its current coverage with topics such as sports and award ceremonies.
