Setanta is looking for USD236m in funding to buy Premier League football rights from Sky under a sublicensing deal. The Ireland-based broadcaster secured rights to broadcast only one of six packages in each of the next three seasons in a bidding round in December.

Setanta is employing investment bank Close Brothers to raise the sum.
