French operator software provider Alcatel-Lucent has bought UK-based digital content network Velocix for an undisclosed fee. Velocix’s service speeds up the delivery of online video and games.
The merger ?demonstrates our company’s commitment to investing in the capabilities, know-how and technologies needed to effectively support the rapid evolution towards a video-centric world,? says Alcatel-Lucent exec Philippe Keryer.
Velocix, previously known as CacheLogic, raised USD50m in funding prior to the merger.
