Ericsson sells software firm for USD170m

Swiss telco equipment maker Ascom has purchased software firm TEMS from Ericsson for CHF190m (USD170m). Ascom will finance the acquisition through a combination of cash and a syndicated credit facility from a consortium of eight Swiss banks, led by UBS and Credit Suisse. The transaction will close in June 2009.
